Μια κουβέντα ειναι να προσθέσω οτι Software θέλω...
Εκανα Copy/paste τις εντολές για πηγές απο NTUA.

Απο το Κ Μενού ... κτλ. στο Search του software management βάζω το ονομα της εφαρμογής που θέλω π.χ. wine , Thunderbird κτλ κ δε μου βγάζει τιποτε, οταν έγραψα mplayer μου εβγαλε τον KMplayer που είναι ήδη εγκατεστημένος.
Σα να ψάχνει αυτα που εχει μέσα δε βλέπω αλλα (εχω DSL βλεπει Internet).
Μετα άνοιξα Konsole για να κάνω install τον mplayer που εκανα copy στο Desktop μου απο το DVD του LF - έγραψα tar xvzf MPlayer-1.0pre8.tar.bz2 Κ το αποτελεσμα ήταν - Cannot open: No such file or directory bla bla...
Τι? κάνω λάθος...

ψάχνοντας στο net βρήκα εντολές για να κάνεις install RPM Files κ θα ήθελα να τις μοιραστώ μαζί σας <span style="font-weight: bold;">www.novell.com/coolsolutions/trench/11564.htm</ span> Εγώ τις έδωσα κ ολα μία χαρά αρχίζω να μπαίνω σιγά σιγά στον Κόσμο του LINUX!!!

Αυτό δεν πάει καλά:
"Server denied you to change to the given directory

retrieval of source hdlist (or synthesis) failed"

και οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι σε όλες τις εντολές που δίνεις υπάρχουν παραπανίσια κενά που οφείλονται μάλλον στη μορφοποίηση του forum. Κοίτα π.χ. τι γράφεις:
urpmi.addmedia --update main_updates
ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/mandrake/official/ 2007.0/i586/me dia/main/updates with media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz

Αυτό έχει κενό ανάμεσα στο me και το dia KAI κενό ανάμεσα στο / και το 2007.0 που δεν θα έπρεπε να υπάρχουν (τα κενά).

ενώ θα έπρεπε να γράφεις

urpmi.addmedia --update main_updates
ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/mandrake/official/ 2007.0/i586/media/main/updates with media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz

Επομένως κάνε copy/paste αλλά και πάλι το νου σου στα κενα!!!! Λογικά θα πρέπει πάλι να σου βγάλει ένα περιττό κενό ανάμεσα στο / και το 2007.

Τσέκαρε και τις υπόλοιπες εντολές για άσχετα κενά και ξαναδώσε τις μέχρι να μην δεις αυτά τα περίεργα μηνύματα. Εναλλακτικά δώσε τις χειροκίνητα.
