συνδέω το laptop μου με hdmi καλώδιο με την τηλεώραση και δεν έχω ήχο, μόνο εικόνα.
Έχω τους driver 173.14.12 περασμένους με το envyng. Το iec958 είναι un-muted και το music playback
στο system->preferences->sound το έχω stac92xx digital.
Tις παραπάνω ρυθμήσεις της είδα στο http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-788922.html
Έχω το ubuntu 8.04.1

Αυτό που λέει στο τελευταίο post στο link που έδωσες το δοκίμασες;

I made it work by going to this file "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base":
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
then I delete all the contents of that file and put this:
options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=3stack-660-digout
at "model" you have to put one that is made for your hardware, look here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5131958&postcount=2) for a complete list of models available.

Δε ξέρω τι παίζει με το dhmi πάντως φαίνεται να θέλει πειραματισμό.
