πες μας επίσης τι μάρκα-μοντέλο είναι το μηχανάκι της cosmote και αν έπαιζε καθόλου πριν αποφασίσετε να κάνετε τη μεγάλη αναβάθμιση (για να το αναφέρεις...)

Επίσης στο μικρό μου Acer το ''βλέπει'' ως ZTE MODEM.

Σωστά είναι το ZTE modem και ειναι αυτο "Bus 001 Device 005: ID 19d2:2000".
Αυτο είναι και USBDisk και HCDPA modem.Οταν το συνδεσης απο το dmesg δες το device που γταχνει στο /dev/ πχ /dev/sr0.Πρέπει να κανεις umount to device αυτο /dev/sr0.Θα δεις οτι το led απο το modem σβηνει και σε λιγο αναβει ξανα, τωρα γυρισε η συσκευη σε HCDPA modem.Με ενα lsusb θα δεις κατι σαν ID 19d2:0103 που ειναι το modem, τρεχεις modprobe usbserial vendor=0x19d2 device=0x0103 .Πρεπει να εχουν γινει τα /dev/ttyUSB0 , /dev/ttyUSB1 και μετα με το wvdial εισαι ετοιμος για HCDPA οπου αυτο υπαρχει.

Φοβάμαι πως δεν ξέρω πολλά για να τα κάνω όλα αυτά. Λίγο πιο αναλυτικα παρακαλώ γίνεται;

Συνέδεσε το modem.Από τερματικό τρέξε dmesg όπου προς τις τελευταίες καταχωρήσεις θα πρέπει να δεις ότι δημιουργείται ένα νέο CD-ROM κάπου σε /dev/sr0 ή /dev/sr1, τότε τρέχεις και το αντίστοιχο umount /dev/sr0 ή umount /dev/sr1.Πρέπει το led από το modem να σβήσει και σε λίγο να ανάψει ξανά.Μετά δώσε μας τα αποτελεσμaτα από lsusb.

Για τρεξε /sbin/rmmod usb_storage και /sbin/rmmod usbserial και δωσε μας lsusb.

Όταν λέτε να τρέξω εννοείτε στο τερματικό; Με sudo;

Εαν ο kernel σου ειναι μεγαλυτερος απο 2.6.25 (δες απο uname -a) τοτε υπαρχει ενα bug.Δες εδω

Αλλα στειλε και το lsmod να δουμε με το modem κουμπωμενο.

Ο usb_storage υπάρχει και το βλεπεις και στο lsmod σου δεν μπορω να καταλάβω γιατι σου λεει οτι δεν μπορει να τον βρει , δεν ξαναδοκιμαζεις /sbin/rmmod usb_storage.

Και η πλάκα είναι ότι το δοκιμάζω σε 2 pc!
Το ένα με καθαρή εγκατάσταση 8,10 και το άλλο αναβαθμισμένο!

sudo modprobe -v usb-storage (ή usb_storage, το ίδιο κάνει. Το -v δεν είναι απαραίτητο)

Για να αφαιρέσεις το module, δώσε:

sudo modprobe -rv usb-storage

Αν θες το ίδιο με insmod/rmmod, πρέπει να δώσεις την απόλυτη διεύθυνση όπου είναι αποθηκευμένο το module. Πχ:

sudo insmod /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/usb-storage.ko
