Descent|OS 2.1 ( 32-bit ) (Ubuntu Natty 11.04)

Ένα ακόμα Ubuntu 11.04 με Gnome 2 + Gnome 3 με καταπληκτικό artwork σε dark blue desktop.

Έρχεται με google Chromium χωρίς Firefox ,αλλά εύκολα προσθέτεται από τερματικό ή synaptic & τρέχει τον 2.6.38-13-generic #56-Ubuntu kernel. Χρειάζεται ελάχιστα πακέτα για αναβάθμιση & σε ελάχιστα minutes έχουμε ένα linux διαμάντι.

Το Descent OS 2.1 είναι εγκατεστημένο σε SSD 3.0 USB Transcend 64GB 1.8'' δίσκο , τρέχει σε ext4 filesystem without journal , ενώ εκκινεί από ένα Corsair Flash USB 2.0 του ενός GB , στο οποίο βρίσκεται το /boot partition , με το ίδιο filesystem όπως και το /root ( ext4 without journal ). Περιττό να γραφτεί ότι όλα πάνε ''σφαίρα''.

το ext4 w/o journal , χρειάζεται την εντολή

# mke2fs -t ext4 -O ^has_journal /dev/sdX
